Matchroom Multi Sport are pleased to announce that Met Coaches will be the title sponsor of the World Championship of Ping Pong, taking place at Alexandra Palace, London over the weekend of 27-28 January, 2018.

The World Championship of Ping Pong is now into its sixth year at the iconic Alexandra Palace and is a throwback to the early days of table tennis. The game that fell out of favour with the advent of super-spin inducing rubber bats years ago is returning to the mainstream thanks to a potent mixture of speed, power and old-fashioned skill courtesy of the technology-free sandpaper bats.

Met Coaches was established by Peter Evans over 20 years ago and is now one of the largest companies of its kind. Met Coaches focus is to provide excellent customer service with a fleet of coaches to match. Met Coaches are actively involved in the community around its Watford base, sponsoring and providing transport for a number of schools as well as backing sports players and teams from football to gymnastics, golf to boxing and more.

Matchroom Sport Chairman Barry Heard said: “I am thrilled that Met Coaches will by our principle sponsor for this year’s World Championship of Ping Pong.
